it made no sense. it was a complete waste of time. i seems like everyone praises it because it deals with racism...which was completely ridcioulous! no one acts that way! jesus! i hated it.

My son has Aspergers Syndrome (in the Autistic Spectrum). He is six years old and I know he is viewed differently by his peers. I can only hope he becomes this High Functioning as an adult. Do you know anyone with Aspergers or Autism? ABC News link on Daniel Tammet:

To be more exact-- his best friend is a girl-- (but she is gay and I'm positive that they're not sleeping together, so that's not the problem). The thing is, he's been spending ALL his time around her lately. He spent 4 out of 5 evenings at her place the week before last, and then they took a roadtrip together last weekend, and when they got back on Sun, he wanted to spend the night, and I said "okay, in this case," because they had been driving 6 hrs and it was late. Mon-Thurs of this week he's been at her place and only come home in time to go bed-- I've had no time with him! Tonight, he calls me and says that they're at a party together and that he's just gonna crash at her place if they get back too late. I said, "NO! I'm not okay with that!" I'm afraid that if I give into this, that he's gonna start sleeping over there all the time-- basically living there, and I'm never gonna see him anymore! Is this so unreasonable?

In my opinion:

Jazz- the 50's. The best jazz is from the 40's and earlier. Today the media will have you believe jazz is boring and lame, but as far as retro jazz goes, it couldn't have been further than the truth- those cats were hep and happenin'. Coolest. music. ever.

R&B- The 70's. Best R&B is from the 50's and 60's, with the exception of Marvin Gaye whose career extended into the 80's.

Blues/country- the best is older, but there's still some good stuff out today. I can't really decide a specific decade when it jumped the shark.

Reggae- Whenever dancehall killed real reggae.

Rock- the 80's. Rock was in its prime 50's-70's. How in the hell could lameass junk like Fallout Boy be classified in the same genre as Chuck and Jimi? As far as newer rock goes I like U2 and that's about it.

Rap- The 90's. Now don't get me wrong- I love Sugarhill Gang and Run DMC but modern rap is just a degenerate minstrel show. It has no soul, and if it has no soul, it's not music.
