he left a woman named elaine as the custodial guardian, technically/legally it wuldnt be mine until im 21, but since he wished for it to be mine at 18, elaine cashed it and sent me a check for $10,000 around my birthday,but heres the thing-i knew me grandfather had left me money when i was 18. but i didnt know it was stock, and didnt realize that i needed to claim it on my taxes.
from my understanding and how she worded it, it was my inheritence, well, when i filed with h&r block, i didnt mention it because i didnt think anything of it. i wasnt even aware it was stock put under my name and social number.now 2 years later the IRS sends me a letter saying i owe $1,600 in taxes because my 05 return doesnt match what was reported....
shuld i be faulted that no one ever told me exactly where the money came from? shouldnt elaine or at least the stock company had an obligation to inform me?i wuld have saved some money from the 10,000 2 cover taxes if i ahd known, now im stuck.what can i do?

not to insult all mexicans, but everytime I go through the drive through of Del Taco, they ask me what kind of sauce I want and I tell them. Sometimes they don't really ask what kind and just say "sauce?" ANd I say "mild please" and then they don't (never) pay attention and they always end up giving me a different kind of sauce! It's really annoying!

My gpa in my master's program was a very mediocre 3.45 and my GRE scores from before I entered my MA program weren't too good either, except for the analytical score, which I got a 6.0 on. What are some decent schools that would accept me into their Political Science PhD program? I've been looking at Vanderbilt, George Washington, UCLA, Boston College, UMASS.....any other ones that I would have a semi-decent shot of getting into? Remember this is an MA program, so a 3.45 is much worse than a 3.45 in an undergrad program. Thanks for your help

Engine Turns over but wont fire, (battery is new) RAC have just looked at it said there is no live feed into a wire under the bonet, he attached a small jump lead to the battery and the other end on the wire that need live feed? (the wire had a plastic socket which splits wire in half which he released to fix end of jump lead to) the engine started , but what is the problem? don't know name of wire that needs repairing what it is for or how to repair it?? not a machanic as you can prob tell
