I am just curious as to how many of you guys and gals have pirated before? I myself am guilty of pirating, so I am just truly inquisitive. Also, how many people do you estimate pirate in the U.S.? What are the chances of me getting in trouble for getting Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise on two of my P.C.'s (worth at least $300), Partition Magic (at least $50), and a Dragon NaturallySpeaking Preferred 9 ($150)? Since I can remember I have often dreamt I was other people. And my dreams go into great detail. I would never know when I would be falling asleep whose life I would be dreaming more about. I am a woman happily married. This has nothing to do with low self image. I am happy with me. But I wonder how common this is. As I child I was an east indian magician preparing to go on stage and the dream would go in great detail. Another dream I lived in England during the ww2 and I was born after the war. I was a child orphaned and would dream more and more details as the years went by. I still dream I am other characters but I could go a good six months just being me and then suddenly I am another person again and I am dreaming of their lives. So anyone else in my position? No I am not crazy and on meds :-)

Why does the Bible promote sexism, slavery, murder, and the like? I realize these are old testament things mostly, but then why were they ever written at all, as inspired by God. It seems contradictory that God is love, yet God encouraged these things. Can anyone explain? Does this not have the fingerprints of human bias all over it, such that a man who wished to promote slavery, murder, sexism, etc. wrote them in a book of "God"? I'm honestly curious if someone could explain this to me.

These blatant moral wrongs are not reconcillable with the "God is love" philosophy, in my opinion.

Please do not take offense. I truly want to understand. Please give thoughtful answers, and refrain from quoting the Bible - that doesn't help me understand any better, only perspectives and reasoning do. Thanks in advance.
