I am just curious as to how many of you guys and gals have pirated before? I myself am guilty of pirating, so I am just truly inquisitive. Also, how many people do you estimate pirate in the U.S.? What are the chances of me getting in trouble for getting Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise on two of my P.C.'s (worth at least $300), Partition Magic (at least $50), and a Dragon NaturallySpeaking Preferred 9 ($150)? My excuse is I am a silly, young, nieve child

hehehe - I am not sure how good this post is here as someone can read it from the goverment.
But still - don't worry about getting caught, the police or whatever has to have a worent in order to come to your place and inspect your software. The same holds true when you are walking on the street - they have to have a reason to stop you and to search your bag, computer etc.
So no worries about that.
The only downside of pirated software is that nowdays companies are limiting the access of that software to the internet as well as it's functionality (example Symantec with AntiVirus, Microsfot with Windows XP etc).
As for me - there are many free versions of the pirated software that you are using out there that I am using which of course are FREE. Some examples include OpenOffice.org as for Microsoft Office, Windows Partitioning for Partition Magic etc. YOu just need to search info sites like www.cnet.com for free software.

Everyone has.

I read an article a couple of years ago that said that only 2% of Windows OS on the consumer side was actually licensed. Because of anti-pirating police crackdowns, the business side is about 75%.
