I have heard in a local newspaper that the scientist have confirmed that in 2017 Earth will crash Mars and don't know what could we do then .

Well, it is an old nespaper ! It is called Libertatea ( "The Freedom") and i read it 2 years ago ... :) ! But i am not sure it is true!

No, because by then, the Aztec calender predicts that the world would have ended (in 2012). So I wouldn't be too concerned about Mars hitting us. then there is the asteroid hitting us in 2025 or thereabouts.
You'd think that, with destructive events predicted for every few years or so that something would have happened. Or at least people would have stopped making these baseless predictions.

This is not true based on what we know. An impact from space will happen one day, but it will be a comet or meteor and most likely we won't even see it coming.
