to me, yea we are. there are diffrent reactions as to saddam's death. there have benn threats. we have no gain the support of theses people. we have build up hatred in them. we are losing them. killing saddam does not slove any of the problem that iraq is now facing. we have not won since the begining. what G.B want was to kill saddam. let justice be meted on him. But when it comes to building a better iraq, G.B has not put in that much effort. I don't hear much about his plans for iraq.

No, we're not losing the war, we already lost. Remember, President Bush landed on an Aircraft Carrier just shortly after the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and proclaimed, "Mission Accomplished." I'm not sure what mission he was referring to but it obviously had nothing to do with winning because we're still there losing lives and spending (or wasting) countless billions while lining the pockets of contractors who could care less about the war as long as the money keeps coming in.

The military is not losing this conflict. We are doing the best we can with what the politicians have given us. We need a few things to make this better, however.
1. We need those 21,500 soldiers. I know you don't like it, but that's the truth.
2. We need to resume combat operations and not stability and support operations i.e. open up the rules of engagement so we can effectively get the bad guys.
3. The ability to enter and clear mosques. The ENTIRE country knows that is where the weapons and the militia/insurgents are hiding because they know they're safe. I have two mosques in my area that are the problem. One Sunni and one Shia. I just need to raid them and clean out the bad guys so our area will be safe for both sides.
We haven't lost, yet, but you would think we were trying to lose when you listen to the politico's in Washington DC.

No. Those men have done a great job.
The only losers in Iraq are the dead.
Now if the politicians will stand up and free the reins on those soldiers we can bring it in.
Politics is what plays with soldiers lives.
I have walked those same sands with men and have seen the Iraqi people stand up for what is right. My tour ended too damn soon.
Now these men are there and they get fed with the same nipple of stupidity that we did the first time.
As much as i personally detest George W Bush. I say give him the men and lets clean this mess up. End the need for our men to die over their and scare the hair of Allah's extremist followers.

Anyone who thinks the U.S. is winning in Iraq after watching the news everyday is completely out of touch with reality.

I'd say so. No matter what happens in Iraq, by starting this war, we've already alienated most of the world and made many new enemies along the way. THANKS TO REPUBTARDS LIKE MAHAL.

No, not even close.
We've managed to police the entire country while rebuilding it and holding elections at the same time.
In January, we learned that violence has been decreasing steadily, Al Qa-ida has left Baghdad (they're giving up), the Madi Army is disarming (at least in public), and the Iraqi Army is beginning to act on the worst violence without our help.
We're almost finished.
