My friend has a domestic kitchen appliance where you putn some water in the bottom and the eggs stand over the top not touching teh water on a rack - the vessel is then sealed and switched on the eggs are boiled perfectly. my brother seems to think that I am over serious, over senstive, over protective... anytime I say something he doesn't like, he retaliates with telling me I am one of those things. If I tell him not to be so rough with my kids, I am over protective. If I say STOP IT, then I am a b-i-t-c-h. It's like he's starting to live in my head. Even when he is not there.. I hear the critism.... What should I do. I can't talk to him about it or I am being a high maintence woman? What to do?

I live in a dorm room, with 2 other roommates. Since the beginning of last semester, I have had problems with sleeping. They don't seem to be getting extremely worse, bbut everything I try does not seem to make them better. Let me explain the situation in my dorm room. Like I said, 3 people. Very small room. There are 2 lights, one overhead light, and one light over the sick and counter. These lights stay off at night once I go to sleep, but one of my roommates has a flourescent desk lamp that seems to light up the room like it is world war 3. He is also not the quietest roommate in the world. He tends to watch TV, albeit at a low volume, long after I go to bed.I use a face mask which I have purchased at Bed, bath and Beyond, and ear plugs, but they both don't seem to work. Light seeps in through mynose bridge, and the ear plugs only offer some relief. I can't seem to fall asleep. Does anyone have any suggestions? Anything at all? I am running out of ideas, and becoming sleep deprived

I was having problems with my ISP and they came out to check the system and lines. They found that I had a bittorrent program on my computer and got all bent out of shape about it. I was under the impression the bittorrents were ok as long as you don't download copyright'ed stuff.

Scince Y/A, is like writing a bunch of letters...I wonder if anyone has been a big letter writer? Are you still (on paper)?
I used to write a lot of letters and it was so joyful recieving responses. It's nice to go to the mail box and find something other than solicitations or bills.

My Husband made 52,000 this year and paid quite a lot in taxes. He had me and our daughter has dependents because I didn't work. Then the last 3 monthes of the year I got a part time Job. I didn't claim myself since my husband did. We just took our taxes to be done and they say we owe 4,000 dollars and all but 700 of it is due to me working. But I only made 1400 dollars at my job. I am very confused.. Can any one explain this to me?
