Why do so many of them think they have to do a Stevie Wonder voice impression to get through?

I like Songs In The Key Of Life, but arent they too cabaret?

Because Stevie Wonder is the one of the most prolific, versatile, singer/songwriters of all time.
And if you can pull "him" off....that you have a serious vocal range.

Because of the range Stevie can do. I think they should lay off the high pitches until at least the second round.
