Easy one here. It's the destruction of the family. The womans liberation helped start it. Nowadays people dont take time to get to know one another and move in together basing there relationship on mainly sex. That's why they split up and dont stay together. This in turn with no father or mother raising a child hurts them in the long run. They need both parents to help nurture them through there life. The balance is gone. Some step parents can be good but it's not the same by any means. When dad went to work and mom stayed home back before the 60's society was at it's best. It's been downhill ever since.

From my experience, America just doesn't have the exposure to other countries and cultures that the people need.

The whole world watches American media, I can name at least 20 states(I'm British). However in America, only 10% of people have a passport.

This is really a problem when we get to foreign policy, with idiots like Bush (the most hated man in the world anywhere except America) and to be honest many presidents in history veiwing America as the only priority, regardless of the suffering of others.

For example, anti-war protesters always mention how so many American troops have died in the Iraq war, 600,000 Iraqis are irrelavent to the subject.

I honestly don't mean to offend any Americans in saying this, frankly America has the nicest people of any country I have been to, especially compared to Britain. It just seems that America needs to look beyong its own borders more often.

Peace out!

In a way its been good that we always help other countries when they are struggling. But at the same time we have many, many Americans who are struggling, trying to make it and not getting anywhere. Let's take care of our own, be a world example of taking care of our own business and then reaching out to others.

Sadly, there are too many uneducated Americans :)
The US is falling behind. Don't get me wrong, we have many genious people in the country, but the average American is not educated and not even literate.
We spend too much tax money on our millitary. (I don't know enough about it to judge whether it's a necessary thing or not).

We have changed our priorities. I find it a weakness that Americans have reevaluated their priorities to be material possessions and forgot that family and love should come first. Its all about keeping up with the Jones'.

Greed and rampant consumerism (thinking "things" make you happy) and me-first selfishness, an unwillingness to act for the general good instead of you own individual interests... disrespect for your fellow Americans.
