I really would love to go to an Asian country for a couple of years and teach English. I want to go to a country that does not have tones. I strongly desire to learn the language of the country I would live in, but I have a very hard time learning tonal languages.

So, there is this girl that I have been friends with for several years. I have liked her for a year or so too... Just recently, she was asking me who I liked and she told me she liked me, so I told her I liked her too. We were going to do something this weekend, but last night she told me she didn't want to ruin our friendship, and she couldn't see us as more then a friends. Today, she was the nicest she has ever been to me, and was smiling at me the whole day. Now tonight, she asked me if there was anything I wanted to talk about on AIM, and we told eachother like everything about eachother, I mean everything... Then she says it was nice talking to you, your a really good friend? I still really like her, and I am not sure if she feels the same way... What are the chances she wants a relationship with me, and how can I tell if she does?

Me and this guy met up thanks to my sister and her friend. We started talking on the internet which led to talking on the phone everyday and him coming over very frequently. This has been going on for 2 weeks now. As far as we have gotten is just hugging before he leaves. Last weekend he laid his head in my lap and the other night he asked me to rub his head. We talk about a lot of stuff that he would/should tell his boys. I am a very negative person, only against myself. I think he is just respectful and just want to take it slow. Are these good signs that he is attracted to me or does it seem like he only is looking for a friend. I am getting to old to get hurt again but still too shy to ask him what he wants.

I have been researching the Ramos-Compean border agent story. My theory is that these guys were sacrifical pawns used to further or protect undisclosed immigration/border policies. I found numerous stories on FOX news, and CNN, but zero on MSNBC. Any particular reason? All the congressional outrage is from republicans, the democrats seem to have nothing to say. I can't find any background on this. The prez and the dems appear to be odd bedfellows on this one. I don't get it.

A Hindu, a rabbi & a lawyer are travelling together. They stop at a farmhouse & ask to spend the night.
The farmer says he only has room for two & one will have to sleep in the barn.
The Hindu says, "OK, I'll go to the barn". A few minutes later, he comes back & says, "There's a cow in the barn. Cows are sacred & I can't sleep with a sacred animal."
So, the rabbi agrees to sleep in the barn. He returns in a few minutes, explaining, "There's a pig in the barn. Pigs are unclean & my beliefs won't allow me to sleep with an unclean animal."
Finally, the lawyer agrees to go to the barn. A few minutes later, there's a knock at the door and...

I'm learning to swim, I started last week and I wear goggles like most swimmers since its impossible to see under water without them, but somehow people are swimming and going underwater and they DONT HOLD THEIR NOSE.. But they don't have anything plugging their nose holes either.. how is it even possible? Its not fair that I swim laps and can only use one arm.. so my swimming is very slow.

I knew it was impossible but since others could do it, I decided to try to put my head under water and try to not hold my nose and as soon as my head went under, the water shot directly up my nose and down my throat and I nearly choked and almost couldn't jump out to cough up the water. How is it possible? Ive tried breathing out through my nose to stop the water but it only lasts for 2 seconds then I get rushed in with water and choked.
