So, there is this girl that I have been friends with for several years. I have liked her for a year or so too... Just recently, she was asking me who I liked and she told me she liked me, so I told her I liked her too. We were going to do something this weekend, but last night she told me she didn't want to ruin our friendship, and she couldn't see us as more then a friends. Today, she was the nicest she has ever been to me, and was smiling at me the whole day. Now tonight, she asked me if there was anything I wanted to talk about on AIM, and we told eachother like everything about eachother, I mean everything... Then she says it was nice talking to you, your a really good friend? I still really like her, and I am not sure if she feels the same way... What are the chances she wants a relationship with me, and how can I tell if she does?

this is a hard one
i think you should ask her , if she likes you, why do she want to say friends
i think it's a big risk to be friends, like the person and then deciding whether to risk it or not
if you guys do start
start for slow, even though you know a lot of things about her, you guys are know in a relationship, and those include things that a friendship doesn't
you can use what you know (her likes and dislikes) as an advantage
i think if she's scared about losing that friendship, then it's better to start off slow

hmmmm this is a sticky situation...because i can tell u that sometimes its better to just stick to friendship cuz it can really kill one. so first decide whether its worth it or not to risk that. it maybe never go back to that if u get in too deep. but if u do decide to go for her. i guess ask her friends cuz it seems like she's either indecisive, leading u on, or being herself and not meaning to lead u on. just try not to rush anything and ease into things. maybe ask her exactly what she means by just sees u as a friend? cuz people typically say that when they arent attracted to the person....but she just told u she liked u before that soooo find out the real reason and go from there

It sounds you want the relationship to be more than friends, And she doesnt. I think you should just tell her that you really like her and that you would like it to be more and that you are worried too about the relationship being ruined. But reassure her that you will not rush things and maybe it will work for you guys.

Good luck

The two of you have a relationship as friends. She told you that's all she's interested in,so you have very little else to do but believe her. In your life you will have girlfriends come and go,but Good friends are hard to find.

Ok, so her reason for saying that she doesn't want to ruin your friendship is a legit reason. I have been in your boat before and if you really, truely like this girl then tell her like it is FACE TO FACE look into her eyes and express everything that you feel.....and if it doesn't work buddy.....there are millions of other fish in the sea!

i know everyone says this... but just come out and tell her. --I like you. and i was wondering if you felt the same way about me... because im getting mixed signals.-- i went through the same thing about a year ago... and i learned the hard way. if you dont outright ask her... you may end up waiting forever.

hope this helped...
