If the median home price represents the price where half of the homes sold above that price and half sold below it in a given market (a seemingly more conservative estimate than average home price which could be skewed by very expensive home sales), could one multiply their home purchase price by the % change in median home price to arrive at a fairly accurate estimate of what their home is presently worth? For example, if the median home price has gone up 25% over the past five years, would multiplying my purchase price by 25% give me an accurate estimate of the present day value of my house? Thanks.

Had fuel leak repaired; shop doesn't have pressure cleaning to remove the leftover leaked gas from engine; need to clean it but don't know what product if any to use; I can pressure clean it at the car wash but will that remove remnants of fuel?

I can go on another shift and make more per hour, work less and it equal the same amount as what I net now working more hours. The problem? On this new shift, I will not be able to see my family during the week. And the job is about 15 to 20 minutes further away. Right now I carpool with another. I get to save on gas. And work is only 40 minutes away. If I go to this other shift, I drive alone. And work will be nearly an hour away. I am just not sure it is worth it. What do you all think?

Last night, President Bush told Congress to give his escalation plan a chance. Congress wasn't buying it: there was little applause. In his powerful rebuttal Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) called for an exit, adding, "The majority of the nation no longer supports the way this war is being fought; nor does the majority of our military, nor does the majority of Congress."

That being said will Bush get his way or will Congress have the backbone to stand up to him?
