You need to know one of the angles (other than the 90) or the length of one of the other sides.

To use the pythagorean theorem you will need the length of the other side. Perhaps it states they are the same length?

This could be acquired indirectly if you had the measure of one of the angles other than the 90 degree angle. By use of Trig.

it extremely is trouble-free to discover x. (x - sixty six ) / ( 240 + c ) = tan 40 8.6 tan 50 = (x- sixty six ) / c (240 + c ) * tan 40 8.6 = c tan 50 240 tan 40 8.6 + c tan 40 8.6 = c tan 50 240 tan 40 8.6 = c tan 50 - c tan 40 8.6 240 tan 40 8.6 = c ( tan 50 - tan 40 8.6 ) (240 tan 40 8.6 ) / (tan 50 - tan 40 8.6 ) = c tan 50 = (x - sixty six ) / c c tan 50 = x - sixty six (240 tan 40 8.6 ) tan 50 / ( tan 50 - tan 40 8.6 ) = x
