I totally agree. I have had this happen to me several times. People flame me because they don't agree with my opinion. I would like to allow emails to me because I enjoy exchanging points of view, and INTELLIGENT conversation with others. But I have had to shut off this option because of people like surfinthedesert. They need to learn to deal with it.
There are several questions out there that do ask for your opinion, but there are far too many people, like surfinthedesert, who forget that there opinion is not fact!

There are some arrogant people out there that feel as though if others wish to have an opinion they should be provided with it.
I have all functions disabled as a result of getting a number of harassing emailed from people trying to force feed me their opinion.

Because most of the questions here aren't asking for your ill-informed, worthless opinion. People are asking for answers based on fact, evidence, and research. You provide none of the above. I think you and everyone like you should be banned from yahoo answers indefinately. Let the adults talk--KEEP OUT.

You gotta tell us the question and the answer before we can tell you why. I used to do that, but I've found it just wasn't worth the hassle, though I do miss the occasional fight.
