I lectured while I was a graduate student at University. For the most part, the students were polite and didn't talk or interrupt while I was lecturing.

But since I've been in the workforce, I've noticed that the same cannot be said for adults who are being lectured to. I've noticed that these adults talk amongst themselves and often ignore the speaker. It's a very rude behavior and I find it surprising that they exhibit this behavior.

I just recently found out I am 4 weeks pregnant and I have a 3 year old son too. I am just wondering and asking for tips of how you involved your first born with the newborn and made it where the first did not feel left out. Any help will be appreciated. I'm just nervous that my son will have a hard time adjusting cause he is the first grandchild and everything to my parents too. Thanks for any help!

From the book **ENGLISH GRAMMAR IN USE**

We use the past in the same way after wish.We use "wish"
to say that we regret sth,that sth is not as we would like it to be:
>>It rains a lot here.I wish it didn't rain so often.<<

We use "I wish...would" when we would like sth to happen or
change.Usually, the speaker doesn't expect this to happen.
>> I wish it would stop raining.<<

So both of the sentences are related to the present,IF I'm not mistaken. But the point that i can't understand here is that both
of the definition mentioned above,are of the same meaning.
Aren't they?

So, Valentines Day will also be my boyfriend and I's 1 yr anniversary. So that makes it a pretty big day. I have been trying to figure out what to get him for months.

I bought a picture frame that holds 8 picutres and made it into a sort of collage and put little artifacts on it.

Is that a good idea???? Would you like receiving that gift?

What else should I get him/ what would you suggest???

I wanted to get him something really personal and special.
A watch is NOT an option..he doesn't like watches.
