I'm very confused about "Synching" up devices. I get the concept that after the synch (say for a palm pilot) ..both the computer and the palm pilot's information matches BUT, here is what baffles me.... If I want to add info to my computer notes etc etc... (like add addresses or phone numbers etc... (in hopes the Palm pilot will get them after a synch up) ...here is what messes with my head..
If I also delete and add things to my PDA while i'm out shopping or whatever (say erase eggs i bought) .., which info overrides which?? I have altered info on BOTH devices so how could a sych POSSIBLY work? It would undoubtedly erase some data right? If i erase address on the PDA but ADD some on the computer palm software/// a sych would be dissasterous, so what am I supposed to do ? never add info on the computer side at all? i DON'T GET THIS ..thank you

My laptop, windows XP, cannot connect to the internet through the LAN connection. However, my laptop could connect to the internet back in korea where I bought my computer. Also, the internet port is functional because my friends have used their computers on that port. My laptop can connect to wireless here, but just not the lan connection. Does anyone know what's wrong with my computer?!

I feel like every time I turn around my friends are going on and on and on about how they want to meet mr. right and settle down and have families. My mother is telling me she wants to be young enough to hold her grandkids. When I receive a wedding invitation, another one bites the durst plays in my head. I hate to sound whiny, but I am so tired of being single and so tired of the pressure to get married.

I know they say you have to be happy with you and no man can complete you and all that, but why is it every time I turn around, I'm bombarded with wedding magazines and couples and valentine's day? I thought I had met mr. right. But he turned out to be mr. coward and mr. liar and mr. cheater.

I'm only 24 and I have a great career, I'm intelligent, and cute in the-girl-next-door-way. I feel like I should have everything to look forward to. Instead, I feel like I'm being smoothered by singleness and the pressure of marriage. Anyone else know how I feel?

Im sick of hearing this.......WAKE UP people. It's a violation of your liberty. Freedom is supposed to be your privilege in this supposed democracy, fight for it. When cctv and id technologies are fully integrated into our society as they nearly are, laws will be changed. If you step out of line e.g. drop some litter, you will be sent a fine directly to your house.
As for making society safer, give me a break. Where were the CCTV cameras at the airport given as evidence of the 9-11 hijackers, oh yes, they have gone missing. Where were the CCTV cameras for the London bombings, oh yes, every single one of them happened to be not working that day, what a coincidence.

So there was this class that was learning about taste buds for the first time. The teacher decided that it might help the class if she gave them a "Taste Bud" test. She began to hand out Life Saver candies, and she wanted the class to guess what flavour they were.
The first Life Saver she passed out was a red one and the class responded with "This is Cherry!"
They easily got it right, so she decided to trick them with a green one. Still, the class easily got that one, they guessed lime.
Frustrated, the teacher passed out a clearish color Life Saver, in order to really trick them. She was right, because the class had no idea to what it was. She decided to give them a hint and she said, "It's what your parents call each other."
Suddenly, Little Jimmy yelled, "Noooo! Don't eat it, it's an *** hole!"

The flavor was honey.
