questions will dishearten me? They are wrong. I still maintain that this is a proof why some people don't take christianity serious. These answers were given to a perfectly sane question. The answers don't make sense -

You are belittling the Son of God? Who is the creator and owner of heaven, earth, whole universe & human kind. Do you think He needs to work for survival as the Landowner? or pay His due to a king, when He is the king of kings?
Jesus is the Son of God who tries to redeem the lost souls from this world and bring them back to the Almighty Father in Heaven (in His mission.)
Read the bible for a knowledge, okay?

I am a five-digit number.

It is no different from female circumcision - unnecessary, barbaric.
Religions and people in power thought it produced more loyal subjects, people were less likely to play with themselves.
It is certainly not more healthy, the procedure often causes complications and infections.

ONLY IGNORANT RELIGIOUS PEOPLE WOULD RECOMMEND IT.

About 20 years ago, I posted a medium-length quote about Earth on my classroom wall. It began with something like, "If the Earth were a ball, spinning in the middle of the room . . . wonderful . . . precious . . . etc. It provided an imagery that is essential at the alternative school where I now teach.
