Nope these kids were unfortunate, but myspace is designed for social get togethers, something which has been over looked when they joined.

having read the link I think that Myspace carries the same amount of risk that any other website would carry.
Just becuase that happened it doesn't meant that the site is a pick up joint for the peadophiles.
On a more personal note. I hope not. Someone I like is on it and would be very hurt/surprised if they were a peadophile. he wouldn't touch me though I'm too old. In thought, though, I thought that Myspace was for musicians and artists sort of exclusive, or that's what I heard anyway.

Lets face it any chat room etc. is open to abuse.
Regarding paedophiles I don't believe there are more now than 10 years ago just that now it is more prominent in the public consciousness due to the fact that the internet has actually made it easier to catch the scum. Lets face it if it hadn't been for quite a few storing images on computers they may never had been caught, Gary Glitter being a prime example.

Please define Paedophile. Is an eighteen year old who has had sex with a fifteen year old with their permission, a paedophile. Is someone who downloads illegal child sex images from the Internet, with no other involvement, a paedophile.
An adult who has sex with a pre-pubescant child, clearly would be regarded as a paedophile. They would all be placed, I presume, on the sex offenders register. The point I am getting to, is, does the term 'paedophile' embrace serious, as well as much less serious offences?
