ok here's the question, its one of the many questions im stuck on in a past paper ht gcse....................................................
a wax statue of a spaceman is on display in a museum......
wax models are to be sold in the museum shop......
the statue and the wax models are similar......

The height of the statue is 1.8m...
the height of the model is 15cm...
the area of the flag in the model is 10cm².......

A)calculate the area of the statue's flag............................




the volume of the wax of the original statue is 172.8 litres.

B) calculate the volume of wax used to make the model.
give your answer in ml.

My brother in law is just about to leave school and has very severe dyslexia. We're all worried about what sort of work he can find or if there are any schemes / initiatives around which help people get started?

Basically, he can't read or write and has little attention span. Combine this with a teenage attitude and I'ts looking grim! But on the plus side he can learn, is practical and intuitive.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is it about Basic's syntax or structure that made him say that? Was it because it was a beginner language? I suppose the GOTO has something to do with it. What else?

On The Way To Prison

Three convicts were on the way to prison. They were each allowed to take one item with them to help them occupy their time while incarcerated.

On the bus, one turned to another and said, "So, what did you bring?"

The second convict pulled out a box of paints and stated that he intended to paint anything he could. He wanted to become the "Grandma Moses of Jail."

Then he asked the first, "What did you bring?"

The first convict pulled out a deck of cards and grinned and said, "I brought cards. I can play poker, solitaire, gin, and any number of games."

The third convict was sitting quietly aside, grinning to himself. The other two took notice and asked, "Why are you so smug? What did you bring?"

The guy pulled out a box of tampons and smiled. He said, "I brought these."

The other two were puzzled and asked, "What can you do with those?"

He grinned and pointed to the box and said, "Well according to the box, I can go horseback riding, swimming, roller-skating...."

Where do I look? Google is out, and the articles must be submitted with the paper. I have never done this kind of research. All I know is to hide in the library and dig thru stacks of dusty journals, and that is not recommended for this project. Thanks!
