check wikipedia. They have descriptions and images of the entire greek alphabet, including some symbolic significance and their numerical values.

skip the tatoo, yuck! what will your grankids think? not to mention you are opening a huge door to infection! I know, you don't hear about that. Because the people who get systemic staph infections are sick in the hosp on IV's hoping to hell they die. Pretty painful. I have seen nerve damage, horrible ugly scars, infections that we have to debreed and then pack the open wound down to the bone! It's awful. Unless you have really good health insurance, and a need for pain, don't do it. Get a henna or a semi temp one!
