Could it be that they are missing something that their current mate isn't giving to them? Ex: attentions...etc..

Attention definitely has something to do with it. Girls are always looking for approval from males, so if they're not getting it from their boyfriend (i.e. he's ignoring her or not giving her physical attention) and another guy is, that would lead her to cheat on her boyfriend. Also, if the girl isn't feeling beautiful or attractive and her boyfriend reinforces this, she'll crave that approval. And when she finds someone that is telling her she's beautiful, she'll cheat.

Well it can be many combinations of different things, on the guys part it could be: neediness, clinginess, lack of confidence, blandness (just being "average" and not striving for more) ignoring the girl. essential, women cheat when they're with a current so they can get the attention and or attributes that their current mate doesn't have. short answer but I think I covered everything.

Girls cheat because they are not feeling secure in their relationship. This can mean many things but most often it is because of their self image. The male in the relationship is failing to provide a positive image for her to gain comfort and self security.
A woman gets her sense of self security from her father figure in their lives. If the father figure is absent or abusive than the self image is damaged before even coming into a new relationship. Thus making it harder for a husband or boyfriend to help her with her self image.
The father image is also important in the growth of a boy to a man. The boy learns from his father the proper behaviors needed in society. The mother instills the proper behavior for private relationships.

Yeah could be.. or it could be they're insecure.. Insecure how?
1) they might think the other guy will eventually cheat so they do it first
2) they think that they can get any other man and they need to prove themselves that
3) They are not willing to commit into a serious relationship b/c they're affraid it will end up bad or get hurt, or they won't like the real "she" so she's fooling around with other guys
Lots of reasons.. or they just like to have the stress of being caught.

Why does ANYONE cheat? Male or female, it's usually because they aren't (or think they aren't) getting what they need from their relationship. Sometimes they fall in love with another person, sometimes it's just a one-time physical hook-up. But it's always because of some unresolved issue they have, whether they want to admit it or not. Some poeple believe that humans aren't really supposed to be monogomous... some people believe that we are. It's unanswerable, I think...

Sure that can be a reason, but why cheat? Dump em and move on! Everyone knows what they need from a relationship, if they aren't getting it from who they are with, then they should end it, not cheat!

Its because the one they are with isnt treating them right and they want someone new because they are tired of the same old stuff with the guy they are with..Hope this helps!
