I just need to know some info. My girlfriend's mom knows shes pregnant so thats done with. Now she wants to come live with me in my apartment. We are not sure if she will be legaly able to just get up and leave without her mom having any legal say about it. What I mean by legal is that we dont want her mom calling the police and sending her back to her mother. Any information will help. Thank you!

PS: It's a boy and HEALTHY! I couldn't be happier.

Ok before I get called a horrible pet owner - let me explain. I bought a house and the old owners left their cats, 2 of them. One is a stray that they themselves inherited but I feed it cause I feel bad. However, I really am never home and I work 24 hour shifts as a firefighter here. I usually feed them once every 24 hours but sometimes once every 48 hours. Is this ok? Will they die? I feed them LOTS of food but they always eat it up really quick.

Can anyone, in a fairly simple and concise way, tell me what the (main) responsibilities are of the Senate and the House? Which one of the two is more 'important' (has more demanding responsibilities, etc) and now that the Democrats are in control of both, how will that effect the President's ability to run the country? How much control does the President really have if both the House and the Senate are controlled by Democrats?

I have ordered a PLDMN65 "Pyle Pro" It is a DVD/MP3/CD player and I do not have it yet but I want to know if I can burn movies on regular CD and watch them or do I have to Burn them on DVD cds?

Worked under 1099. The first pay check was manual check from the company I worked for, and the rest from the company's payroll company. I'm trying to computer my 2006 estimated tax to send it out before 1/16/07 deadline.
My problem is on the final paycheck stub, the payroll company did NOT include the amount I was paid for by the manual check, and I was told by the company I worked for that I can just use the number on my final paycheck stub to figure out my Estimated Tax.
This number does not include the 1st pay, manual check.

I think the payroll company probably has reported IRS whatever the number was on my final paycheck stub which doesn't include the amount on the manual check.

What do I do? Do I use the number on the final paycheck stub OR
add the amount of manual check to the number to figure out my 2006 estimated tax?

In the world of religion and different beliefs, Is it possible that everyone is wrong but everyone is right?

When we die, maybe it is only what we perceive it to be while on earth. Maybe all of us will go to our own private place and it will be everything we want it to be. Christians find Jesus, Islams find Mohammed, Atheists find...whatever....
Maybe life is only for preparing us for the next one. Maybe all the books that are supposed to have been written by divine beings, perhaps they are just guides to prepare you for the possiblities in the afterlife.

I let my cat back in the house about 2 day ago from being outside. I was sitting on my couch when he walked over to the litter box. I noticed he was in there a long time so I glanced over and he was doing number 2, well i looked away and glanced back over really fast and I noticed right when he was done pooing, there was watery looking blood on the top. I am so freaked out. Why would there be blood on his poop? He had a tick not to long ago, maybe about 2 weeks ago that my dad had taken out himself, I wanted to take him to the vet but my dad saw it and took it out! Could this be symptoms of lymes disease?? or could it be that he just was having trouble? What should I do??
