As a sommelier myself, I find that some restaurateurs feel that the staff should all have sufficient knowledge of the food, drinks and tobaccos to service the customers' requirements, whilst some feel that a sommelier is essential for the smooth running of the service and satisfaction of the clients. I currently work for a wine supplier, rather than on a restaurant floor, where I find my training is equally applicable. What do you consider to be the arguments for and against having sommeliers in restaurants.

What I mean is take a look around you and if you have any knowledge of marketing you'd notice that the media and television, are trying to sway people with certain ideas. Take for instance, I noticed a lot of the raps nowadays, I know it's not correct grammar but I like to say NOWADAYS, anyway, nowadays, it's dances that are easy to do, "Such as twisting my body from side to side, or snap your fingers do your step, and other songs like these. They're trying to get the wallflowers to look cool too, so they don't look stupid alongside of the wall. Ever notice if a pretty woman is by you or a man is by you, all the other people of the opposite sex wonder... hmmm? So many other things...the world is a market and that's the whole truth to everything on this green Earth that we live in. We are pawns in the game of life, it's no simpler than this. This is all you have to know about your life and life itself.

'Get out of the way' he says'this is half a doberman, half a rottweiler
the most dangerous dog in the world'.Everyone looked at the slobbering, growling monster and moved out of the way....except one small man in the corner. ' Yeah, yeah ,Phhhh...gerroff'..he said,contemptuously..call that a dog?
The skinhead said 'Did n't you hear? This is the most dangerous dog in the world it'll eat your nuts as an hors d'oeuvre.'
Small man says 'I've got a dog in the car that would beat that'
'Beat this monster-I'd like to see it try!'
'Come out to the car park then'
They went out and the little man opened the boot/trunk of his car and took out a dog.
'What kind is he' 'He's a long-nosed,short-legged ,long-tailed terrier' 'Never heard of them..let's get it on...The two dogs were let loose and after a vicious fight the Doberman/Rittweiler lay dead with his throat ripped out.'Wow,what was it called again?'A longlegged shortnosed longtailed terrier-some people call them crocodiles

In the 1979 song Pocahontas from the album Rust Never Sleeps. Native American enthusiast Neil Young writes famously: "I wish I were a trapper, I would pay a thousand pelts, to sleep with Pocahontas and find out how she felt, in the morning on the fields of green...In the homeland, we've never see.."

I am wondering if anyone with any historical/biographical knowledge can shed some light as to whether or not this commodity figure is accurate for the era and would be sufficient for such a proposition and and I'm curious as to whether a lady of such noteriety would be likely to entertain such an offer if Marlon Brando was on stand-by.

I've heard the legend of Bloody Mary but i don't know if it's real. In some legends they say that she was a witch that killed litle girls and used their blood to make her young again,in other they say that she was a woman that died in a carcrash and had her face disfigured,or that she killed her children and when summoned will kill the children who dare to call upon her. If you have ever called upon her please tell me what happened and if you know some good websites let me know. :))))

It is quite well know that Maxine Carr lives very close to where i live, and that she works in a local supermarket as a security officer. She has a different name of course. I did not follow the case all that much, but i can only remember feeling for the poor children and families involved.
Do you think that it is right that the papers are not allowed to reveal details about her ??

The following is supposedly a true story. To be included, besides being true, the story is most likely strange, weird, surprising, or funny.

The city of Whittier, California was founded many years ago, mainly by Quakers. There is a prominent sign composed of large, brass letters on one of the financial institutions in that community identifying it as the Quaker City Bank. The last letter of the first word fell off during an earthquake yesterday, making the sign read "Quake City Bank."
