Years ago there was a movie about a boy who liked this girl, and whenever she would come home her dad would abuse her. Somewhere in the movie, her dad pushes her down the stairs and she breaks her neck. The boy and a friend have this computer they surgically implant into her brain to try and bring her back to life. She moves around in a zombie like state and has 2 or 3 intermittent pulses where her brain reactivates from the computer being implanted into her brain, but only for a second, then she goes back into a zombie like state. Ultimatly a cop shoots her at the end, killing her for good.

This may be an 80's movie, i'm not sure. If anyone knows the name of this please I would be most grateful.
