It has nothing to do with gravity. Modern aircraft are pressurised but not to sea level. The pressure is usually about 850hPa or the same as being at about 5000ft. As the pressure drops, air and gases inside the body expand and seek a way out. It is this drop in pressure that causes problems for people with head colds and, it seems from your experience, people with haemorrhoids. On descent, the pressure inside the cabin is increased to equalise with the outside and this could cause problems too.

There is not much you can do until the "fasten seat belt" light goes off but once it does, I suggest you get up and take a walk around for a few minutes. This should help equalise the pressures inside and out.

Your discomfort doesn't have anything to do with air traveling. I suggest you treat your hemorrhoids with Rue Care Oil.
