schools and companies sell them some once a year other have store that sells them all the time

Some companies sell computers for very less price. There is no price margin on second handed computers. Companies can not afford to throw computers to junk yards. Some companies also deals with other small bussiness clients to sell these old stuffs.

Most companies will offer their old PCs to employees first. Than I believe they will donate them to places such as Salvation Army or schools who are willing to part them out and rebuild.

Some donate them, other just sell them for scrap. You can get like $5 per pound for monitors, at least thats how much it was last time I checked.

Donate to schools or other private agencies and use the gift as a tax deduction.

auction them off at surpluss to city or county departments. some donate them to battered women shelters. that's what we did with our old pc's where i use to work anyway.
