The British Foreign Secretary has said in respect of the execution of Saddam Hussein:

"We have made our position very clear to the Iraqi authorities, but we respect their decision as that of a sovereign nation."

Few would question that Iraq, as a sovereign nation, has the right to do what they have done however much we might disagree with it. But surely Iraq was also a "sovereign nation" when America and Britain decided to invade their country and overthrow Saddam in 2003? How is Iraq a "Sovereign Nation" whose rights we accept now but was not a "Sovereign Nation" three years ago?

I'm doing a science project involving balsa wood bridges and I need to measure their weight in grams. They are very light so it has to have good accuracy. Please keep in mind that this project is a one time thing and I don't want it to be expensive. Thank you very much!

I've got an RE test coming up, and I'm doing some revision. Our topic is science and religion. It goes into genesis and the big bang etc... Then it goes on about how we're God's stewards - I expect what it means by this is that we have to look after God's creation.
But then my teacher asked us what's the diffrence between dominion and stewardship. Someone said, dominion is when you have power but you're not responsible and stewardship is where you have the power, but you are responsible - but I don't know if this is entirely right?!

I understand hate as a concept, but I have only hated one person in my life. This was because he murdered a good friend in cold blood. What I cannot understand is irrational hatred. Hatred and dislike are not interchangeable words, even though some people seem to believe they are. I know there are people who dislike administration policy and I agree with this concept as I myself dislike some of them. However, I would really like to understand what can drive a person to such a powerful emotional state against a person they do know personally. If you honestly feel that you hate Mr. Bush please explain what he has done which so effects your personal life as to inspire this emotion. I know there are people who will misinterpret this question, but I am not passing judgement on your views. I am merely trying to understand them.

This joke is better heard than read but here goes(read it out loud):

A man with a speech impediment (non PC bit) goes to a building site looking for a job.
'W-w-w-what's the p-p-pay l-l-like?'
Workman: 'The pay's not that hot but the perks are good'
'W-w-w-what d-d-do you m-mean?
'Come up the scaffolding and I'll show you'
They both went up the scaffolding and the workman waited until the foreman walked beneath the scaffold. He slyly kicked a brick off the edge and shouted down: 'FALLING BRICK!!!'
Tha foreman jumped aside and the brick just missed him.
He was so grateful he climbed up the scaffold and gave the workman £10 for saving his life.
'T-t-that's a g-g-good t-trick! I-i-ill t-try t-that.'
He waited until the manager walked underneath then kicked the brick and shouted:
'F-F-F-F-F-F-Flipping heck ..Ive killed him'

all my ancestors had kids at 18. all my friend's ancestors had theirs at 36. I have less facial hair than my friend, do not like boxing, and read more, but am less instinctive and athletic. Over the past 2000 years his family has had half the number of generations as mine. Am I further down the evolutionary line? Or just jealous of his hairy chest??
Does this theory make any sense?
