I suppose I would rather be mute because at least I could read and hear.

I'm not asking which you would prefer, I am asking which you think is worse.

In my opinion, being deaf would be worse.

Mute, I could still communicate with writing or hand gestures.

Blind would be hard, but having been sighted all my life, the six weeks my eyes were bandaged, I learned to adapt fairly well. It also fostered closer human contact. I truly was amazed at how well I was able to get along, but only because I had already been sighted for life, and was able to arrange things, and somehow sense barriers and obstacles.

I really would miss hearing voices and especially music. Yes, I know you can sense vibrations through the fingertips, but it lacks the texture and tonality and timbre.

Just a thought, and I could be wrong, but right now, that is my opinion.

Being blind is worse, you miss out on everything. You will never know how beautiful colors can be. I would rather be mute, at least i could write and type to communicate to others.

I think that being blind or deaf is the worst of the three, but I can't chose which is the worst of the two, they both are terrible to live with.

Definitely the worst thing would be blindness. So much would be missed, the most independence is lost. I've seen people's lives change significantly when they've lost their sight, less so when losing hearing. Sign language can compensate for hearing and speaking. Not much can take the place of our eyes.

Mutes can still communicate and so can the deaf in sign language, they can see the people they love and even can communicate on the internet.
Losing your sight is pretty rough through you can never see your loved ones.

Blind, my uncle had diabetes and went blind before he died. He said it was the worst feeling, and he would have rather gone deaf so he won't have to hear his wife. He was so funny.

I think being blind would be the worst.
I would miss seeing the faces of my family, reading, and sunsets.
I could handle not being able to speak or hear.
