I am near-sighted, 23 years old. I work full-time in an office with NO daylight and fluorescent lights. I spend an average of 8-9 hours a day, 5 days a week staring at the computer screen. I also study after work, which adds more strain on my eyes. I wear glasses with glare-protection. I paint on weekends and being the person that I am, I cannot see how I can significantly decrease my eye strain – I read, write, type, paint – mostly my activities require eye focus. I took my current job a year ago and I think I can see deterioration in my eye sight. I would not like to have a surgery. Also, I cannot quit the job – even if I do, I'd still be working in an office environment at my next workplace.
IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO ( other than surgery) TO SAVE MY EYES ?
Please, help – I am very concerned.

Should someone who's consistantly tardy for work be fired? By consistantly I mean every day for almost two months. Or if not tardy, the person does not show up at all, the person does not call when they will be late or not come in.

Should this person be let go? What do you think? I'm wondering because I've been sitting in here for more than an hour wondering where the hell my coworker is.....but then again, I wonder this almost daily.

Italy have a wealth of talent and experience and AGE. Their strikers are in their late 20's and early thirties except Gilardino. Iaquinta, Del Piero, Toni, Rocchi, Totti, Di Natale, Di Michele, Del Vecchio, and Inzaghi are either in their prime or past it. Don't you think it's time they found NEW talent? Who are possible Italy strikers in the future?

My sons recieved a 2 gallon tank for xmas with no heater, and a cheesy filter system. It's a decent little starter set up I guess. I keep it about 70 in the house (no lower!) and the water would be about the same. The light also heats it a little. I know quite a bit about fish since I grew up with them, but it's been years since I've kept them.

Would a school of neons or zebras do ok without heat? How about some platys, mollys or swordtails? What about a catfish or alge eater? Any other exotic kinds that could do good in such a small, colder tank? How many would be a good number to keep? I'd rather stay away from goldfish, and I can't have two male betas. I can't have any agressive fish either (ie, barbs, oscars, etc.) since I have 2 sons, and have to have at least 2 fish.

I just need suggestions as to what would be good fish for a cold 2 gallon (non heated but about 70 deg.) tank, besides goldfish and betas.
Thank you in advance for your help!
;o)

In USA 80% of the population lives in 20% of the space though there is vast area of land available. All the industrial and commercial development was done only along the coast line. Lots of internal rural areas are untouched even today. Result cities like New York, Los Angeles on the coast line are struggling hard to cope up with demands from growing population. It is hard to believe that there are some towns in USA whole populaton is in two digits. We can't even call them towns but they are towns. The same mistake India also did and still doing. Every single industry is set up only at big cities like Bombay, Calcutta,Madras, Delhi, Bangalore or Hyderabad. Remote rural areas are totally ignored. Result the heavy migration of rural population to urban cities.

My partner of 5 years and I do not have children or live together. I am at uni fulltime studying. We started our relationship and it became serious quickly. He and I were 21 then. He had problems then with drinking, but I thought due to his age, most guys drank too much and said mean things.then these things happened over the next few years
He binge drank and disapeared for a day or two once a month
He left me on valentines day to go drinking with his brother at his house.
He through me out of the house when he was sober physically by picking me up and throwing me as I visited a friend he did not like.
He got drunk and in a bar threatened to cut my legs with it and told me to move as he would hurt me.
He secret drinks alcohol and changes personality even though he knows I hate him drinking. He went AA once
He sulks if I dont have sex as I am upset and walks out only to return and say sorry.
After each incident he is full of apologies and buys gifts. How do I end it quickly?

Stephen Spielberg is casting for a new film based around the great composers. Anyway to give the film a twist and some "oomph" he decides to cast the parts to the great action heroes of today. He calls Stallone, Arnie, Bruce Willis and Steven Seagal into his office
to hear who they would like to play:

"Well," started Stallone, "I've always admired Mozart. I would love to play him."

"Chopin has always been my favorite, and my image would improve if people saw me playing the piano" said Willis, "I'll play him."

"I've always been partial to Strauss and his waltzes," said Seagal. I'd like to play him."

Spielberg was very pleased with these choices. "Sounds splendid." Then, looking at Schwarzenegger, he asked, "Who do you want to be Arnold?"

And Arnold says...

Wait for it, its a beauty………

"I'll be Bach."
