In USA 80% of the population lives in 20% of the space though there is vast area of land available. All the industrial and commercial development was done only along the coast line. Lots of internal rural areas are untouched even today. Result cities like New York, Los Angeles on the coast line are struggling hard to cope up with demands from growing population. It is hard to believe that there are some towns in USA whole populaton is in two digits. We can't even call them towns but they are towns. The same mistake India also did and still doing. Every single industry is set up only at big cities like Bombay, Calcutta,Madras, Delhi, Bangalore or Hyderabad. Remote rural areas are totally ignored. Result the heavy migration of rural population to urban cities.

Many many factors contribute why certain cities and locations keep growing without bounds while others do not. Examples are like available natural resources, manpower, energy, climate, traffic, crime, accessibility, etc. Politics could also play a role, like those owning lots of land will definitely try to promote their cities/towns/villages.

Various state governments in India have been trying to develop rural/less-developed cities/towns. In Karnataka, for example, the govt has been trying to encourage industries to set up new shops in cities like Hubli, Mangalore, Mysore, etc. The industries consider many factors, like exampes above, before deciding to go for the smaller/newer cities/towns.

It is a good ?.

Migration to big cities is a common phenomena. India is no exception.
America was conquered by Europeans & they for safe guard settled arround ports. Old civilisations too were near rivers only.

Most of the INDIAN VILLAGES are without basic aminities & infightings are very common. Most of the business men have migrated to SAFER PLACES. There is no hope in INDIAN VILLAGES.

In both cases it was the result of freedom of choice and economic factors. In free societies you cannot simply order development in an area. You have to make with worthwhile and economically feasible.

Did you have some suggestion on how to cause development in these ignored areas?

Yeah, but it will take time to develop into rural areas. Someone should have the courage first to start their business/homes in the desert.

I agree with you but this is not only an American mistake. It is done by many counties of Europe,Latin America and also Asia. Many factors like fertile land, climate, easy access, concentration of economic wealth etc are responsible for it.

You're correct but don't compare with AMERICA because that is not a country itself....I don't like it and I simply hate AMERICA....first of all...for your best idea of creating huge industries in other II-Tier cities , our government should make the infrastructure of the city perfect and make communication bridges clear for a huge trade.
