A man wakes up in hospital, bandaged from head to foot. The doctor comes in and says "Ah, I see you've regained consciousness. Now you probably won't remember but you were in a pile-up on the motorway. You're going to be OK, you'll walk again, everything, but something happened. I'm trying to break this gently but your penis was chopped off in the wreck and we were unable to find it."

The bloke groans a bit, but the doctor goes on "But it's going to be alright, we have the technology now to build you a new one that will work as well as your old one did, better in fact. But the thing is, it doesn't come cheap. It's a thousand pounds an inch".

The bloke perks up at this, even though it's a thousand pounds an inch. "So the thing is" the doctor says, " it's for you to decide how many inches you want. But it's something you'd better discuss with your wife. I mean, if you had a five inch one before and you decide to go for a nine incher she might be a bit put out. But if you had a nine inch one before and you decide only to invest in a five incher this time she might be disappointed. So it's important that she plays a vital role in helping you make the decision."

So the bloke agrees to talk with his wife and the doctor comes back the next day. "So" says the doctor "Have you spoken with your wife?" "I have," says the fellow. "And has she helped you in making the decision?" "She has," says the bloke.

"And what is it?" asks the doctor.

The bloke looks up and says "We're getting a new kitchen".

I don't see why customers should be expected to pay the wages for employees in the service. It is not the customer's fault that the pay is low and you are not forced by law to take any job. Maybe if the attitude was more positive, the tips would be more. No one wants to be treatly rudely and then be expected to pay for it. Also, everyone should try to do the best job possible regardless of whether a tip is expected or not. Do a good job for yourself. It may not pay the bills but it makes you feel great. Everything shouldn't be about the almighty dollar. God will take care of our needs.

I kinda am thinking that holding out untill marrage is just a way of making him marry you, he wants the goods and he loves you but the only way he can get the goods is if he marries you who says that means he loves you more or less, the only difference in reality is that you file taxes different and your credit will fluxuate.

I want to read some philosophy but the likes of Immanuel Kant and Friedrich Nietzche are just getting too tedious for the time being. I need someone like Douglas Adams or Hunter S. Thompson, but I've read most of their works. Plus they weren't really philosophers per se.

So is there anything out that's a little linguistically easier to grasp, and possibly has some humorous add-ons?

I have noticed alot of Bush Bashing on here. Asking for impeachment, that he is a terrorist, he is guilty of war crimes, he has ruined our country, going to war illegally, false accusations. What is the "real" hatred come from? I believe the other accusations are just false statements since they are not true. Would you have hated FDR in the 40's. Lincoln in the 1860's. Where does your hate come from? Watching the Michael Moore Documentary's? I really want to know?

if you see some one very attractive/beautiful, even if they did something wrong, you will still forgive them. thinking (their beauty) they are still good and can do better next time.
on the contrary, if you see some one not as attractive (or even worse), if they did something wrong the same as the first person, chances are you will be upset and will not forgive them.
