No, the story was too choppy....

No, the first one had a much more compelling, endearing, and coherent plot than the second one.
Nonetheless, it still had a good back story and a few good action scenes.
However, the ligaments to tie together the action was pretty weak or missing at some points.
It is possible that the second episode was a "bridge" story and is supposed to set the foundation what will happen in the third episode.
If we are lucky, there will be more action and a nicer story. If we are lucky, Kate Beckinsale will star in it too!

the first one was made without knowing there would be a second one, so it was really better. I think the DVD sales showed that people loved it so they just wanted to rake in more money. On top of that, I didn't enjoy the "recap" in the beginning.

No, it was an extrordinarily bad movie. At least the first one had all the emo vampires and trent reznor as the evil bad guy.

Depends on whether you like it for the gratuitous violence or the plot. The second one was all blood and gore and practically no plot.
