SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. - A grandmother found with a trunkful of marijuana was convicted of drug running in what prosecutors said was an attempt to earn cash for a bingo habit.
State troopers found 10 bundles of pot totaling 214 pounds hidden in Leticia Villareal Garcia’s car trunk last year when they stopped her outside Bisbee, in far southeastern Arizona.
Villareal, 61, told jurors before they convicted her Thursday that her only regular income was a $275 monthly welfare check, but she frequently played bingo and occasionally won thousands of dollars.
Prosecutor Doyle Johnstun said the game was Villareal’s undoing.
‘She’s got a bingo problem’
“People who play bingo almost every night of the week end up losing in the long run,” Johnstun told jurors. “The underlying issue is that she’s got a bingo problem, which explains why an otherwise nice person might get sucked into something like this.”
Jurors rejected Villareal’s argument that she’d been tricked into carrying the drugs.
Villareal faces three to 12 years in state prison when she is sentenced Dec. 18.

My daughter who is the mother of the 2 grandkids is single and lives with us...Here is my ?? X-mas is right around the corner and what I want to know is how much is enough for grown kids that are on their own? None of them are married or anything and my husband @ I get in arguments every yr because he says I still try to spend like they are little kids still living @ home.It is going to be tight this yr $ wise..we just moved. I had a bad transaction on ebay and this jerk owes me almost $300. It was something that I bought and it was not as described, so I sent it back and he promised a refund. I don't see why I can't. I only make 7.75 an hour. It's not like I'm making so much money that I should pay taxes. I don't think it's fare that I have to pay taxes. My paycheck looks so small when compared to what I could have if I didnt pay tax.

It's a spice mix made of thyme, sumac, sesame, salt, caraway, dill seed, turmeric, roasted wheat. It's made by a company called Kabatilo located in Jordan, but I can't find them online. They call it their 'original thyme' mix. I really love this spice! I originally bought in in Australia, but now that I'm back home in the US I don't know where to get it. If someone knows what this spice mix is traditionally called or has a recipe for it, that would help too. Thanks.

I have tried Nair(which burns) and I have tried bleaching which works, but I want the hair off not just bleached. is there something else that will remove the hair on your face that will not burn? I actually like the Nair but it always leaves burn marks on my face then I have to deal with that until it heals for about a week. has anyone ever tried the No Heat Wax for your face? did it work?
