It's used secretly and dishonestly by students at school when writing tests. They usually prepare it in advance at home and they're very inventive in how to hide it from the teacher when using it at school. I need both the British and American English expressions, please.

We have a young couple at church and the man is a US Marine who will be going to Qatar for the next six months. We're wondering what to give him/them to help them get though the separation. They always share a Bible at Bible Study, so someone suggested a Bible. Will they let him take one to Qatar? Someone else suggested a phone card. Is there a special card for Qatar? Where do we go to get one? Will he be able to use it? Someone else suggested a CD player or an iPod. Is this a good idea? Someone else suggested sending her over to visit him at the mid point of his tour. Is this an option? Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Hi all I have a question becuz I am confused?
I have been in a relationship for almost 4 years & yes we have had our ups & downs. My first problem is her friends, they have been a bad influence on her & she has admitted that that they have in some way. Also durin a stint of us bein mad @ each other she went out w/ nother man which mad me furious, now my trust has fallin with her & i found out some things with her and this guy that i didnt like...ie she send him a sexy e-card. With this bein upset i went off on her and us cryin ensued but I then jus stop speaking 2her altogether(this all happened w/in 3 weeks) she later shows up 2 my house 2 talk because i was ignoring her....i told her i didnt want 2 be back in this relationship becuz it has 2 hange & i dont think shes ready 2 change fully...i know she cares about me but i dont kno if shes ready.... in order 4 it 2 work she has 2 get rid of her bad influential friends and cut communication w/ his guy who she works with

I know that the umbilical cord is tied off and cut, seperating the Mother and Child. What happens to the part that is attached to the Mother? Does it fall off, is it cut off or is it placed back inside the Mother.

How long is it and what is it attached to?

I know this is a weird question coming from a guy but I really don't know. I asked my girlfriend who has 2 kids and she didn't even know. She slept through it.

I'd really like to know and after the smart a** answers (which are pretty funny sometimes), I can find out the truth.

Having some chest congestion from constant post-nasal drip gone awry. I'd like to get my chest cleared out before it turns into me being officially 'sick'. Drinking lots of hot fluids & hot showers when I can--is there anything else I can do that doesn't require medicine? I support the men and women in harm's way, but I cannot believe so many people in our nation blindly support a war that has no end in sight and that is killing off some potentially great people simply for the oil and the greed of President Bush, Dick Cheney, and the Republicans and Democrats along with the Special Interest Groups who are making billions off the blood of young, old, and middle of the road, (age-wise) Patriots who are fighting this Global War on Terrorism.
9/11 was tragic and horrific, but in truth, how many people even know who is fighting in this war? It is not the sons of the rich, but the brave and proud young people from your neighborhoods or the ones you would not even drive through. I am a former Senior NCO in the Army. Does anyone in the upper class even know what that is? Does anyone care?
So, the question is simple: Does the war affect you if you support it or are you simply towing the line of your Party?
