Can you spot certain people acting as if they are so above others, snooting up their noses as if they were superior every living creature on the planet. You know the sort whose children have impecable manners (except when you encounter them, and then it's kind of a laugh off thing...as children will be children, but normally they are perfect little ladies and gentlemen) Those who would hire help to serve a meal for a few friends and family in their own home, but try to get others to perceive them as suzie homemaker. All the while, talking about their beloved friend's behind their backs with such venom and distain in online forums.

I see through these facades easily and do not buy into it...can you spot these pretentious, two faced people too?

I have this tiny tiny little hole at the top of my ear thats been there since birth. Lately, it has become painful and swollen. It itches and when I itch it the ear hole smells. I have not had any weird injuries to the ear. I can not figure out how to remedy it or even why it is painful.

It's called the Gallon Challenge. Few people are able to do it because your stomach can't absorb all the lactic acid. Some guys told me that I couldn't do it because I'm a girl and would wimp out. And now I need to prove them wrong. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks a lot!

18 months ago a colleague of mine had her drivers license suspended due to parking tickets (and I suspect a possible DUI); I offered to take her and her son to/from school and work thinking it would be temporary. Now, the situation continues. I know her drivers license has been reinstated, her car is drivable, yet she continues to ride with me without any explanation of when she will resume her past driving responsibilities. I happen to know her salary because I do the books at work. I know what she receives in child support and how much her rent is. She has sufficient funds to live on; she is addicted to alcohol & drugs and spends a lot of her $$ on her habits. I am now feeling like I am being taken advantage of. She cries "poor mouth" yet leaves her son with her ex when it suits her so she can indulge her vices. Her Mother also works with us and the situation is complex. What to do? I don't want to be an enabler but I feel bad for her 4 year old child. Any suggestions?

Jon and Amanpreet were in a mental institution. This place had an annual
contest picking two of the best patients and gives them two questions. If they
got them correct, they're deemed cured and free to go.

Jon was called into the doctor's office first and asked if he understood that
he'd be free if he answered the questions correctly.

The doctor said, "Jon, what would happen if I poked out one of your eyes?"

Jon said, "I'd be half blind."

"That's correct. What if I poked out both eyes?"

"I'd be completely blind."

The doctor stood up, shook Jon's hand, and told him he was free.

On Jon's way out, as the doctor filled out the paperwork, Jon mentioned the
exam to Amanpreet. He told him what questions were going to be asked and gave
him the answers.

So Amanpreet came in. The doctor went thru the formalities and asked, "What
would happen if I cut off one ear?"

Amanpreet, remembering what Jon had said was the correct answer said, "I'd be
half blind."

The doctor looked a little puzzled, but went on. "What if I cut off the other
ear?"

"I'd be completely blind," Amanpreet answered.

"Amanpreet, can you explain how you'd be *blind*?"

"My hat would fall down over my eyes."

I realize there are many translated verions. But I was curious if there has been one published in which you can 'pull out' each of the individual books and study them separately. Meaning, instead of holding one physical book (which is comprised of many books), having individual items that you can pull out of a set.

NOTICE - Nonbelievers, snarks and attention getters need not answer. There are plenty more questions for you to focus your energies on.

PITTSBURGH (Nov. 27) - The cost of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" is on the rise - again.

Buying each item in the song just once - from a partridge in a pear tree to a dozen drummers drumming - will cost you $18,920, or 3.1 percent more than last year, according to PNC Financial Services Group.

The total cost of items gifted by a True Love who repeats all of the song's verses costs more than ever before - $75,122 - for all 364 items, up from $72,608 in 2005, a 3.5 percent increase.

Trying to find cheaper deals online won't help, either. The 364 items online would cost $125,767, including shipping costs, compared to $123,846 last year. You would spend $30,330 online for each item just once this year.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
