In Korea dog meat is legal. In fact, it is believed that the more a dog is torutured while being burned alive the more of an aphrodisiac effect the meat will have. Millions of dogs and millions of cats are viciously tortured every single year. Before this, they are bred and held in tiny cages where hundreds of dogs are thrown into one little cage literally on top of one another. PLEASE HELP.

I remember several years back hearing of a study done on plants, where some sort of electro-detection machine (sorry for my vagueness, for I was in middle school at the time and had bigger things to worry about than the exact method of this test) was used to check for any sign of fear in plants.

Then, one girl in the class was selected to kill one of the plants sitting in a group of them. After that, the class was lined up to parade by the row of surviving plants, and there was a spike in the meter of the plants when the girl who killed the one plant marched near. Supposedly, this was to find if plants could fear death, or something of the like.

Has any one else heard of this experiment? Would anyone know the name to it? Or where I could find the details of it?

I have slightly cracked my front teeth, central incisors, but the cracks are not visible untill I shed light on therm with flashlight! and the crack is from the gumline half way to the bottem, but as I said not visible or sharp and nothiing is broken. what should I do?

last year around october through december i noticed he did not eat or ate very little food, about once or twice a week. In class we said that S is an unbiased estimator of θ if E[S] = θ, otherwise it was biased, with bias = E[S] – θ. We would like to find an unbiased estimator of the area (A) of a square plate with sides of length L. Suppose that we make two independent measurements L(1), L(2) of the length of the sides of the plate. Suppose that L (I) is Normally distributed with mean L and variance σ^2. Let your first estimator of A be the square of the average length of the two measurements and let your second estimator be the average of the squares of the first measurement and the second measurement. That is,
S(1) = [0.5(L(1)+ L(2))]^2 and S(2) = [0.5(L^2(1) + L^2(2))]. Which of these estimators has the least bias? If both are biased, can you think of a third estimator that is unbiased?

Well, I know that if X and Y are two independent random variables then E[XY] = E[X]E[Y], and that VAR[X] = E[X2]-[E[X]]^2

Any ideas?
