In Korea dog meat is legal. In fact, it is believed that the more a dog is torutured while being burned alive the more of an aphrodisiac effect the meat will have. Millions of dogs and millions of cats are viciously tortured every single year. Before this, they are bred and held in tiny cages where hundreds of dogs are thrown into one little cage literally on top of one another. PLEASE HELP.

Stop being hypocrites. We do the exact same to other naimals just as intelligent as dogs. But because they aren't so 'cute', it's not something that really bothers us. You mention the suffering of dogs, but don't forget the cruel treatment of countless other animals.

I agree that it is wrong, but it's not only dogs we should be concerned about.

You are dealing with a different culture where it is acceptable and also normal to kill and eat dogs. They may ask the question " What can we do to save the millions of cows tortured, killed and eaten in America every year?.

Did you know that in month of September in China 338 people contracted rabies and the country passed a law stating that each Family can have only one dog. The rest of them are being killed.

I appreciate your compassion, but I have to wonder why you dont ask how to save the millions of cows, pigs, chickens, and turkeys treated the same way in America.

Wouldnt it be a lot more effective to try to affect change at home rather than across the ocean?

Do you believe everything you read? Let's assume that dog meat is legal and consumed in Korea. You say that the animal is tortured and burned alive? Torture results in bruising and other damage. In butcher terms this damage is called "blood-shot meat" and is inedible. Why would a butcher do something that would result in an inedible product? Burned alive would also result in an inedible product. Use your brain. Where did your information come from, the National Inquirer?

I understand your angst on this subject. But, we're no better when it comes to how we treat our livestock. It's sickening what we do to foul, pigs, cows, etc. A lot of countries in Asia eat dogs and cats. In the Phillipines when they have a celebration it's custom to get a dog, put it in a bag, and beat it to death, then they have their BB-Q. It's absolutely horrible, it makes me cry to think about it. But, then think how Hindu's look at how we treat cows and eat beef. There's nothing we can do about their customs. It's their country, their traditions, I say leave them alone.

Why is eating dogs worse than eating anything else? I think that there are far more important issues. I don't know what you can do & frankly, I don't care.

I say, send more of the neglected dogs here in America to Korea as a form of food aid.

we could make a deal with them.. you know, a compromise. we could each give a little something in exchange of the dogs.
cuz we can't just go there and start a war, it's their country, but we can help a little..
