Honestly, nothing. I don't dislike the dude, but I just don't find anything about him or his music appealing. I see however his dorky country boy looks might appeal to others.

No, not at all.
He used to live in my area and went to the local high school (Raleigh, NC area). I don't mean to offend any Aiken fans but he has rather unpleasant personality (and liked to yell at kids for no reason at the YMCA when he was an instructor there) and sings really awful. And he's not even really dorky, just stupid.
The funny thing is that in his hometown, he's appealing to middle-age soccer moms.
