Civilizations are ranked by the ‘information’ and ‘energy’ available to them, and a very advanced one might be physically able to bring huge sources of energy under control , or use clever technologies, and employ them to escape the final horrible destiny, the big collapse.
I name it the ‘Big Survive’.
On the other hand, as new medical solutions are developed everyday to increase lifetime, organ replacement and memory retaining among them, it will not be out of imagination to increase lifetime to infinity in future!

The combination of Big Survive and eternal lifetime, take us to one of the most basic instincts of human kind: “Eternal Life”!
The idea, and its physical possibilities, will bring calmness and satisfaction to mind of many people who naturally have this dream for themselves or their descendents.
Thanks in advance for your comprehensive answers.

I have a thick silk black shirt that I got some foor grease/oil on during dinner last week. I have hung and want to know if there's anything I can do at home to get it clean and not bleed/discolor. It is hardly noticeable, but still want it out.

Any ideas?

your moral and religious beliefs. My fried and I are both Christians, she does not believe in gay rights, but I find nothing wrong with it. She called me a "half Christian" and now refuses to talk to me. Does anyone else have this problem?

Just read about a Army Basic Training Stress card. I've heard about them. But I've never seen one or met anyone who admitted ever having one in basic training.

Did anyone in here actually have a stress card when YOU were in basic training?? If so, what basic training post were you at?

Not heard of them, or knew a guy who knew a guy.

I love acting, and desperately want to pursue it, but lack the financial reserves (I'm still young) to go into it full-time. Is it possible to do stage/tv/commercial/film work while keeping my full-time job? I obviously don't mean feature film level (not like I'm even close to that level) but I just haven't worked with rehearsal schedules and such in years.

Thanks for the insights!

Do you hold the belief of god more important than the act of being a good person? Can you do one without the other or do you consider it the same thing?

about 7 years ago a friend of mine was in a horrible car accident. his car was all but obliterated(as bad as you see on the drunk-driving educational movies). when he told me about it, he said the entire car was destroyed except for the area immediately around him. he's religious so he described it as like a handprint was around his body. he should have been dead. he did suffer some injuries but he was basically no worse for wear. so...do you believe it was divine intervention(please don't refer to god as people have different views on what's divine), or was it luck? or was it simply a well-made car doing what it was designed to do? or something else?
