a freind gave me his old cell phone, its works off verizons service. can i just sign up for a plan without signing a contract? ( not interseted in pre-paid )

Army Reserve / Nat'l Guard deploying again - your thoughts?

For those in the Reserve / Nat'l Guard, what are your thoughts about deploying again? Typically the deployments last a year plus moblization time - 16-18 months average. The policy up until now was a 24 month 'cumulative' cap, but it sounds like this may be changed to a 24 'consecutive' cap. Do you think this is going to create problems for the citizen soldiers with employment, morale, etc. Are you going to attempt a fight (speak out, congressional) if you are called again? Thoughts?

post decree filing does anyone know how to do this?

want to file a post decree motion after divorce and I don't know how this is done I dont have a lawyer and I am trying to do this on my own. Ex-Husband has the kids and I would like to have shared custody and was told to file a post decree??

What is better exercse?.. Karate classes, or cutting down trees?

I own a heavily timbered piece of land, and in spare time I can clear brush and 5-10 year old saplings, or I could join a karate class.. which would be more effective as a workout routine?

How do I mend a broken heart?

In April my husband of 27 years told me that he had met someone else and he left me next day. He met her on a training course in February and says she then started to e-mail him and they just fell in love. He slept with her twice - she is single and early forties. I am 47 and he is 48. I have devoted my whole life to this man and bringing up my family who are now away at college. He says I was a good wife and he just wants me to get better and be happy but doesn't seem to understand he broke my heart. I am dying of loneliness and don't know what will become of me. Despite all I still love him but he is living with her now and doesn't want to come back. I feel so inadequate. How can I get over this?

Is it illegal to throw things from a moving vehicle at the homeless, as they stand beside the road?

They just stand there, often times holding signs, making wonderful targets of themselves. I find it extremely tempting to throw things, whether it be a banana or an empty, crumpled-up beer can, as I drive on by. My aim has been improving lately, as I've managed to nail several in the last week, but I do wonder if it is illegal.
