The terrorists who piloted planes into the World Trade Centers and Pentagon, and the other flight that was hijacked and crashed...horrible senseless deaths plus all the destruction and devastation of the families affected. Thousands of people killed, hundreds of thousands scarred emotionally. Evil in its most hideous form.

I witnessed a man in Tyler, Texas open fire with an assault rifle on the group of people walking out the door of the courthouse. It was a custody hearing in his divorce. He opened up on every person on the square. He was wearing body armor.
It was also the sight of the bravest thing I have ever personally witnessed. A bystander (John Doe citizen, not police) had a licensed pistol and he stepped up and exchanged fire with the freak in the middle of the street. It gave time for many of the innocent bystanders to get to cover. The citizen had a pistol and a business suit. The freak had body armor and an assault rifle. You know who got killed.

I am no longer surprised or shocked at the inhumane things man does to man.
The worst I have encountered was a 5 year old girl who was a victim of a rape committed by a friend of the family. It took every ounce of my being not to kill the guy when he was arrested.............

I would have to say the torture and murder of Sylvia Likens by Gertrude Baniszewski. Sylvia and her sister were left with Gertrude for the summer while the parents worked for the carnival. Gertrude, her children, and the neighborhood children tortured Sylvia before she finally died.
