From what I have heard, a majority of Asians lack an enzyme that breaks down alcohol properly, so that's why their faces turn red after they drink alcohol. Is it true that a majority Asians lack the enzyme to break down alcohol properly or is that urban legend? I'm Asian, I have never had the "Asian red" happen to me. I do have a Chinese friend who if he doesn't drink for a few months, he gets the "Asian red", but if he starts drinking again he rarely gets it or if he does change colors, it's more of an "Asian pink." Is the red face phenomenon strictly an Asian thing or is this more having to do with an individual's tolerance for alcohol and/or percentage of alcohol in a person's body? In old time cartoons, the characters usually became red faced when they were drunk.

Help! Is there a secret for wearing mascara?

I get so annoyed with my mascara. I only use it on my bottom lashes because they're really light colored, and it helps make my eyes pop. But I have to constantly check my make-up and do a touch up because it seems like every 30min to an hour it's rubbed on to the area under my eye. I've tried combing it out then putting a little powder foundation on a Q-tip and running it under my lashes to take off the excess and I’ve tried a couple of other things but so far nothing helps. I use Almay. Is there a way to make this stop happening or is this the curse of mascara?

ugh, im 13 years old but people are always making fun of me because of my height. Im 4 foot 11 and yeah. Everyone comments that i look like im 10! i have been this height for awhile now. What age do you usualy stop growing at? It seems like i have been this height forever and im not growing at all!

California Sex Offenders Now Required to Wear a GPS for life. Is This Right?

California's Proposition 83, which passed by a margin of 70 percent to 30 percent, requires convicted felony sex offenders to be monitored by GPS for life.

Bill O'Reilly wont stop touting this idea. But Iam flat-out against this.

I think felony sex offenders belong in prison. A GPS is not a physical crime-stopping barrier, It wont prevent crime especially since they use "passive" tracking, which produces reports about where offenders have been, not where they are.

There are plenty of petty drug offenders in our jails. Why dont we let them out and put the rapists back in instead of tagging them like sheep to walk among us?

I understand why California voters passed this, they want action. But doesnt this go to far without really solving the problem?

Is a GPS a good alternative to incarceration?
