You express how touched and complimented you are that he would see you as that special and worthy of him, but you're not ready for that level of commitment yet. You should have compliments and much ego-building 'truths' ready for him for after you say no. He will naturally be sad and disappointed, but with the right kind of communication and emotional support it could still be a positive experience.

arrey wats d problem in it! its better 2 tell him d truth den 2 let him think dat u love him. Go n tell him wat u want 2 in a calm n soft voice. and make him understand d real meanin of LOVE. If he still insisits tell him dat if ull accept his proposal it wud not b love bt sympathy!! and u cant do dat!! tell him watever u have in ur mind makin sure dat u do nt hurt him!!

Tell him the truth, I know its gonna hurt him but why lie to someone, just break it to him easy. Let him know you like him but only as friends. let him know that nothing will change and that you will still care about him.

Other than love, so many relationships are there.
Tell him "I am not interest in love right now. Be a friends. If i like in future then we will talk about it....."

tell him the truth even its can hurt him. its better u hurt him now than hurt him in future. and if u hurt him in future it will have more effect than now. coz maybe in that time u already be his wife.
