I get so annoyed with my mascara. I only use it on my bottom lashes because they're really light colored, and it helps make my eyes pop. But I have to constantly check my make-up and do a touch up because it seems like every 30min to an hour it's rubbed on to the area under my eye. I've tried combing it out then putting a little powder foundation on a Q-tip and running it under my lashes to take off the excess and I’ve tried a couple of other things but so far nothing helps. I use Almay. Is there a way to make this stop happening or is this the curse of mascara?

Maybe you should try a different kind of mascara. I used to have the same problem and I switched to Maybeline full and soft and it stays on all day without all the black stuff underneath my eyes. Also another really good mascara is Clinique's lash doubling mascara that stays on most of the day too. Hope this helps!

well first of all you shouldnt apply mascara jus t to ur bottom lashes, if ur gona use it put it mainly on the top lashes. u can apply it to the bottom ones also but dont put too much cuz itl make u look like u have spider legs for eye lashes. i just bought this new mascara called lash exact by cover girl and i love it! it makes my eyelashes look longer and it is very exact, not clumps or anything. also try applying a skin toned eyeshadow on ur upper and lower lids, it helps stop the mascara from running. water proff mascara could work but its more difficult to remove. it takes more than jus soap and water...you should NEVER use soap and water on your face, especially around your eyes. use an eye make up remover with a cotton ball or pad. i hope this helps

Buy a good quality, waterproof mascara and you should get a new one every 3 months or so (this is more for the bacteria growth, but the mascara will also get clumpy over time) also, avoid extreme temperatures.

I always use waterproof mascara not only because it doesn't rub off on you skin but also because when you curl your lashes first,the mascara won't make the curl fall(my eyelases always do that when I don't use waterproof mascara)

Go to GNC store and buy their vitamin E ointment. Put it on at bed your eyelashes will grow so fast you won't need mascara anymore. It only costs like 2 or 3 dollars.

You have to try, Diorshow Mascara waterproof or not. It is the best. It's used on catwalks and it's been the number one mascara of professionals. TRUST ME IT'S THE BEST OUT THERE:D

use waterproof mascara and then clean the bottom w/ a q-tip but dab a little bit of baby oil to clean it. hope this works.--dont rub your eyes either. good luck=)

Lancome has the best, called Definicils.
Bit pricey but lasts forever.
