If I understand correctly, you have a disk labled CD-R but your drive is labled CD-RW. In this case, you drive has the ability to erase a disk, but only if you had bought CD-RW disks. You might be able to burn new songs if you are burning them in a data format and you made a multisession disk or your software can create that. If it is an audio CD, such as for a car stereo, it most likely won't work - some can read multisession disks, but very few.

if u burn a cd on audio format you wontbe able to delete or put more songs. but if u burn it in data format u could burn more songs into it but u cant delete the ones already there. also,youcant play the data cd's in just any cd player.
