MY son loves science but i just don't know if what to do, I tell him not to worry so much at this age,(10) that he is too young to worry about earthquakes, tsunamies,hurricanes,and dieing at 21. Somtimes,he can't sleep at night and there in the day he worries a lot and asks 1000 quetions to our family.
we love the fact that he loves science, we also know that the teacher is a science teacher and that is her jub to teach him about science, but to me i just don't want my son to always be scared that somthing is going to happen where we live.IDK, any advice??

I read in a novel somewhere (was it Sartre?) that the French officer cadre abandoned their troops, some returning to Paris in taxis. Were these people aristocrats? Did some failure in the class structure leave the soldiers (workers) in the field while the bosses fled?

I am only 22yrs old and in the US Air Force and have been recently diagnosed with cancer of the brain and spinal cord. Apparently it is bad enough that I have to have an operation to have two of them removed from the bottom of my brain stem where it meets my spinal cord. I am also staioned in Okinawa, Japan so I am a very long ways from my home and family and I am more terrified than I have ever been. The doctors have discussed sending me to San Antonio, Texas for the operation because it is to delicate for then to want to do here. I am frightened, Is there anyone out there maybe even any cancer survivors who can offer any words of encouragement

I just moved into campus apartments and they have left food on stove, or pans in sink un washed, or not cleaned up forman grill... I've cleaned dishes and grill, but am getting tired of this - what should I do?

I need to rant...WHY do woman/girls have sex with these guys and then come to Yahoo answers with COULD I be pregnant?! DUH!?! You had sex!!! ANY time you have sex...gee...that INCREASES your chances doesn't it?!! ANd some of thes women/girls...asking...will my boobs hurt?! What happens if I'm leaking some fluids?!! WAKE UP!!! YES...your boobs hurt!!! DUH!? Mine hurt with NORMAL periods...and if something was LEAKING out of your car...would you THINK THAT WAS NORMAL?! GEEZZZ!!!
Unless someone is a doctor...on wasting time on Yahoo answers during their break between heart surgeries...PLEASE...why can't some use their brains and think...IS this question even TOO stupid to ask?!! I'm bleeding from what looks like a gun shot wound...Do you think I should see a doctor?!! I'll wait 24 hours to see how many answers I get....

I'm not saying to NOT ask questions...but THINK about your answers before asking....

I've recently gotten involved with a girl. I'm very much in love with her but things aren't running smoothly. She claims she's broken up with her ex (who was abusive) and is pregnant with his child. I accepted this as part and parcel of being with her and I've told her I would accept the responsibility of her child (effectively raising it as my own).

Now she's had two previous mis-carriages which is worrying for both of us and she's had to visit her ex to pick up the stuff she left behind. Whilst she was there she started bleeding and ended up going to hospital to be checked. The hospital says she's ok and that she should rest. She's told me she's staying at her ex's to rest before travelling up to stay with me and she says they are not sleeping together - she's got the bed and he's got the couch.

Can I trust her or am I right to be worried and perhaps a little suspicous?

Total travel time is 1.5 hours (by train and bus) and my local district hospital is only 3 miles away.

I have a laptop, and it was brand new in May. Recently it's been running very slow. I have 73% free space on my hard drive. I keep losing internet connection. I have wireless roadrunner internet. I posted a question to increase my "virtual memory"...I had a notification that it was low for some reason. I tried to do a system restore, but my computer will not let me go back to past dates for some reason. I thought doing a system restore would take care of any problems. I was going to take the system back to June. I don't have anything installed I worried about losing. What do you think I should do?? Over all, my system is running slow, and keep losing internet connection.
