Has anybody noticed a increase in the cost of goods and services latley or just me?

Isn’t it interesting that we are all seeing and feeling the cost of inflation and yet the Consumer Price Index still indicates inflation is under three percent. It makes a person wonder what is in the shopping cart of goods used for measuring the Consumer Price Index.

The Consumer Price Index has become so politicized by special interest groups that it is no longer a good measure of inflation. The average family’s food, housing and energy bills are a much better indicator. From what I have read in the answers to this question we are all feeling it.

I have especially noticed it in the meat department with prices appearing to be higher by twenty-five percent or more than they were a year or two ago. Fuel and energy prices we all know about. The only thing keeping the lid on is the cheap imports from China. If China lets its currency float import prices will increase and we will really see the ugly head of inflation.

I think this is happening everywhere. It's a knock on effect from energy price rises. Be it Gas/electricity used in stores, or diesel for the vehicles delivering the goods...all these have increased in price and someone has to pay for it....you can be sure it's the consumer that ends up doing so!

Everytime I go to the grocery store I notice the increased costs. In my opinion it's totally out of control.

The cost of everything is ridiculous. I get so mad when I see gas go up, milk go up, food go up. What are the average waged Americans suppose to do??

Not me... I am such a smart/cheap shopper that I hardly spend half of what others spend on the same items. I don't know how I find these bargains, I just do!

To which country do you belong? Yes prices are incresing because salary is increasing and people are comparing the countries economy with other rich countries
