My friend tried out for choir the other day. He's NEVER been in choir or anything LIKE that before. After his audition, they said they were going to put him into Symphonic choir as a Baritone, and possibly even put him in chambers. Does this mean he's a good singer? I have no idea what any of this means. =/

I"ve recently started dating an Englishman and he has a few phrases I don't understand. "Does my nut in" is one. I've looked online and found British slang pages but none that contain that phrase. If I can find one that contains that phrase then it should work well for me. So, can someone explain it and recommend a good site as well so I don't have to ask him what he means every third sentence he speaks.

I recently got married and we are trying to figure out the best way to do our taxes. We were going to claim married and have my husband claim 1, and I would claim 0. We just don't want to have to pay in at the end of the year. So I am wondering if we should claim married, but withhold at the higher single rate and then both claim 0. Will that make a huge difference on how much they take out monthly?

It really drives me crazy when I read in the paper that someone rich has died and left all their fortune to the cat society or a dog home somewhere.
Yes I love animals I have a dog and cat at home but isn't it a waste? there are far more important things in the world to donate money too, children being the main one abused children abandoned children, I dont know of any cat that cries itself to sleep at night because its mother has abandoned it.
shouldnt we be investing money into the future and children are the future afterall, failing that leaving money to a research company would be the next best thing (cancer, aids etc) Im all for sorting out the curelty to animals issues but maybe if we sort the people in this world out first the rest will follow, do you agree?

me and my partner have been together now for nearly 8 year's met him when i was 18 and he was 33. we now have two children together but i feel like i cant do any thing I'm not aloud 2 go out clubbing I'm now 25 but he goes out with his mates hes now 39 i don't have any friends now because they feel unwelcome where the come round what could i do i understand he works all work and wants to unwind but what about me i have the 2 kida 24/7 which i dont mind but i would also like a night of from cleaning doing house work and looking after kids.do you think im being selfish?

I lost my boxer tuesday, im hurting bad and need some support...... she was the best dog anyone could ever own and im glad she was mine... We had an appointment to put her down 11-07-2006 at 2:45 and we took her outside for the last time and she died in my arms. She knew that i didnt want to take her there so she did what had to be done. I'll miss here for the rest of my life.
