We had an appointment to put her down 11-07-2006 at 2:45 and we took her outside for the last time and she died in my arms. I want to thank everyone that has answered. I am very thank full that i got to spend somany years with her and have such a good time. I know she had a good life and lived it to the fullest and was always there to make this better and easier for me. I miss her so much i took 3 roses to her grave yesterday 1 for how much i love her and 1 for how much i care and 1 for how much ill miss her. It was just so sad when she went but she knew i didnt want to put her to sleep so she went on her own. at her own home not in some office.. she was such a bull head, thankfully for that she waited till i was there to be with her when she went. ill miss her dearly and it makes me cry everytime i think of her. Thanks everyone best wish for all the dogs in the world cause mine sure did change my life. i want to also thanks my parents for buying her for me when i was young.

I had to put my dog kodie to sleep 3 yrs ago she was 14(bladder cancer) now my 11 yr old GSD/lab has kidney tumors possibly cancer too.Its soo hard!!! We also have a 7 mo old Golden Retriever. I still miss my dog Kodie she was great!!! It takes along time but does get easier with time. With my older dog I'm still very sad at the thought of loosing him,but I'm glad I have been able to offer each pet a good and loving home You can never replace Maxine she was very pretty she will live on in your heart forever
My advice is to cry as much as you feel like it . I hope in time you will feel better. my thoughts and prayers are with you!!
Take care!!

I feel really bad for your loss. I know what you're going through. I had a brown weenie dog named Ollie. We had to put him down last December. I think about him all the time. He was part of my elementary school years, high school years, and adult years. He grew up with me. He use to live at my Dad's house. Every time I visit my dad I still think I'm going to see my Ollie greeting me at the door. Some times I think about when it will be my time to go, how nice it will be to see my little doggie. I hope you'll feel better soon. Take care.

I am really sorry about you dog, I saw her picture she was very pretty and I'm sure she loved you very much also. I am sure her spirit will alway's be with you and she was lucky to have you. Maybe you can now adopt another dog and give her or him a nice life also. It's not that you are replacing her because you will never forget her.

I am so sorry, I know how it is when your dog is everything to you. I lost my chihuahua in June, he was at my mom's and got bit by a snake, he was only 2 yrs old. That was my baby and it took me a long time to be ok, honestly I am still not ok but you have to move on. I really understand how you are feeling and if you want to chat email me shabug118@yahoo.com

I feel so sorry for you dog. My friend had two beautiful dogs and one of them died on my birthday which is on 30th September. The second one too, died after some months. This has happened before about 5 years but I still remember the two dogs and pray for them. I will remember your dog too.
MAY GOD GIVE HIS SOUL REST.

I'm really sorry to hear about your dog. My aunt had to put her doberman, Flop, down yesterday around midnight. It was completely out of the blue, I was there yesterday and saw Flop myself. Its hard and I know that no other dog can replace her, time will help the hurt :)

go in peace Maxine....
I hope you thanked your folks for real too...
dogs are great, I dont own one myself becuase they are so much of a time commitment (I have cats and farm critters)....
If it was cancer and you plan on getting another dog you should be aware that cancer is the leading cause of death in dogs (next to accidents) and MANY cancers can be linked to ingredients used in low quality pet foods - specificaly BHT, BHA and the ingredient used to preserve By-products (ethoxyquin)
