For school I'm writing a five chapter book (first two paragraphs below) about an Amer-Asian girl and I need input and history. any books or sites or info you can offer? thanks!

"Please give me a name."

This might work. The nameless girl had suffered a lot. She was an Amer-Asion living on the streets of Korea. Being a homeless orphan was bad. Being Amer-Asian in Korea was worse. But being nameless was worst.

Her father had taught her English. She remembered him. Laughing blue eyes, an odd spattering of brownish-orange polka dots on his face, and long limbs. She remembered watching the sky swirl by as he whiled her around, then her was face smashed against his no-longer-crisp uniform in a hug. Then her feet were on the ground again and she watched his long legs walk away. He left with her that memory, brief knowledge of the Enlglish language, and the feeling that life was good and she belonged to a world made fo a freckled soldier and herself with a beautiful sky

My husband has been trying to go to college off and on since graduating high school, he has no idea what he wants to study and hasn't been able to complete many credits. He is 27 years old and we have 3 children. He has experience in meat cutting, home remodeling, working on cars, working in a machine shop, etc. In my opinion he's not a college kind of guy. But he wants to be able to be his own boss and he's convinced he needs a degree. I'm prepared to go to work full-time if he wants to attempt school again, but I feel like he has to prove it will be worth it before I make the sacrifice (our kids are young, 3 months to 3 1/2 years). What do you think we should do to get on track so my husband can have a career and we can have a good future? Should I encourage school or suggest a more blue collar career, like helping run his parent's deli or flipping houses for a living?

I KNOW I am a Republican BUT - I think the Democrats on here did not win with dignity.
They rubbed our noses in the Republican defeat.

This was a good life lesson for me on how NOT to act when I win?

What are everyone's thoughts?

A. I faithfully recycle everything I can.
B. I recycle everything I can and think everyone should do the same. After all, if you throw out just one thing that's recyclable you've defeated the purpose.
C. I am pretty good at recycling but not 100%. Even the bit I do helps.
D. If it's convenient, I'll recyle but I don't go out of my way.
E. I try to but honestly it's not that easy in my area so I'm not about to extend myself to recycle.
F.I simply don't do it and wouldn't do it even if it were just as easy as using regular trash. What's the point?
G. I don't do it. Just because...that's not how I roll.

Can you turn on autocomplete for entries eg if you have lots of identical fields in a database? Say 50 records have the same entry for one of the fields... Can it be turned on by the user or must it be done at the programmer level? I would find out myself but I don't have MS Access loaded on this pc.

Following up on Brancomicguy's question "what would happen if we started clumping asteroids and planets...?"

It is believed that the earth is slowly increasing in size. Possibly because of the space dust continuously raining down on our planet.

Taking into consideration what I have said in my answer to BRANCOMICGUY's question, would'nt this be another possible explanation to global warming?

Sticky situation I have a girlfriend I have become really good friends with her and her boyfriend. (met them at the same time) I love hanging out with both of them they are so much fun. Her boyfriend is attractive a lot of fun and successful. Whenever were out when she is somewhere else he will come over and talk to me and say things like he's glad I came out with them and how he can't believe his friend stood me up because I'm so hot. I just kind of laughed it off and ignored him and walked back over to his girlfriend. I have never stabbed a girlfriend in the back and do not plan too but I like the BOTH of them so much that I'm actually beginning to feel attracted to him. They have not been dating long but what would be the right way to handle this if i like him. What if we both like each other and eventually it just comes out. Need advice have not done anything or backstabbed my friend.

I am 33 with 2 children and for years have suffered very heavy and painful periods. it means 3 days of not being able to leave the house. i cant go on the pill as i suffer terribly with migraines (probable all hormonal) , i have tried the injection and had migraines solid for 3 months (although no bleeding-that was bliss!) my doctor put me on tables to slow the bleeding but all they did was prolong the agonising pain!!!
i had a smear 3 weeks ago and i am waiting on the results. i have talked about this with my husband, that "if" my cells in anyway are abnormal then i want a hysterectomy, he agreed. but the more i think about it, the more i want a hysterectomy anyway as this would take away the part of me which confides me to the loo for 7 days in a month!!!, what should i do??
